Top panel: Snow temperatures (colors) are from 30 Campbell Scientific T109 thermistors, spaced ~10 cm apart vertically on the CHZ fence. The thermistors range from 30 cm below the ground surface (flat black line) to 260 cm above. Snow depth (black) is from the NRCS. Most of the snow temperature data below the snow-depth line should show temperatures of snow, but throughout the winter the heights of the thermistors may sag (due to overburden force from snow), so some temperatures may be of ambient air. Middle panel: Surface temperature (black) is from a Campbell Scientific SI-111. Snow depth (purple) is from a Judd Communications depth sensor. Data is from a 5-minute average of 30-second measurements. Bottom panel: SWE (black) and accumulation precipitation (blue line, covered b dots) is from the NRCS. Precipitation type is from CW3E's OTT Parsivel² disdrometer.
